Eye Clinic (Gurgaon, Haryana)
The Prem Rawat Foundation, Prem Saagar Foundation and Raj Vidya Kender jointly organized a Free Eye Clinic in Government Primary School, Village Khatiyawas, District Gurgaon, Haryana on 28th and 29th Nov 2015.
Eyes of 1239 persons were examined in the Eye clinic out of which 757 persons were provided free spectacles. Eye drop units were prescribed to 639 persons, which were distributed to needy people beside tablets to 402 persons. As a result of testing of eyes 303 cases of cataract were detected and the villagers were advised to attend government hospitals for further treatment of their eyes.
Dr. Suresh Gupta and Dr. Vibhor tested the eyes on both days and had a continuous busy time from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM. There were five refractionists namely Mr. Jai Singh, Mr. Manoj Saini, Mr Jitin, Ms Anita and Mr. Praveen who helped the doctors.
The clinic covered the population of 5 villages situated around a radius of 8 km from the clinic site. People were highly satisfied and praised the efforts and sincerity of volunteers.
Mr. Rajeev Gupta, the Project Manager was assisted by two supervisors – Amit Yadav and Surender Yadav along with 43 seva personnel.
Mr. Parmanand, village head who was also the chief guest, took medicine from the camp and said that the treatment here is very nice; all services are free of cost. This is for the first time such event has happened and we are thankful.
