
The Michaung Cyclone hit Tamil Nadu with sustained winds of 110 km per hour which caused there heavy rainfall and left the local inhabitants of Chennai in turmoil. The volunteers identified three locations near to Chennai where residents were in trouble without drinking water and power supply, even after eight days.
Volunteers decided to help the local people and made 150 packets of food with the eatable items. Each packet contains two kg Boiled Rice, two kg Toor Dal, one kg Atta, half kg Sugar, half litre refined oil, half kg Rava, two packets of Maggie and Biscuits each, Rusk and Chilli powder.
They arranged wooden Boat for one location Muthamizh Nagar Thirunindravur adjacent to Chennai in which 50 packets were loaded and distributed to the deserted families.
For another location Sudesi Nagar Thirunindravur, there was a Therma coal handmade boat was available and using that they reached to the deserted families and distributed 50 packets.
For third location Periyar Nagar Thirunindravur, no boat was available, and volunteers walked into the water and distributed rest of 50 packets.
The families were so happy and thanked to the organisation.
Thus we reached the places where Local and State government not yet reached so far and we extended our help.
Thus the volunteers provided the help to the people in remote area.
